Azure Enterprise Integrations Across PIM, HR, SAP & Commerce
DesIDEA delivered production Azure Logic Apps integrations connecting PIM, Salesforce, Dayforce HR, Walmart, and SAP, with mapping, validation, retries, and monitoring designed for real production failures.
01 Challenge
Enterprise operations depended on a patchwork of systems: product data in PIM, employee events in HRIS, orders and shipments across marketplace and SAP landscapes. Manual handoffs and brittle point-to-point flows created delays, incomplete records, and hard-to-trace failures when partners or schemas changed.
02 Solution
DesIDEA implemented Azure-based integration patterns that treat integration as a governed capability, not plumbing. Logic Apps orchestrated flows; mapping and field validation protected target systems; structured error handling isolated bad records without blocking healthy traffic.
PIM → Salesforce
One-way product sync with transformation, validation, and failed-record isolation.
HRIS fan-out
Dayforce employee events distributed to AmTrav, Concur, iCIMS, and SAP.
Marketplace ↔ SAP
Bi-directional Walmart–SAP order and shipment synchronization.
Ops-ready design
Retries, logging, and monitoring so failures are caught before the business feels them.
03 Approach
- Reusable extraction patterns with system-specific mapping per downstream target
- Validation before write to prevent incomplete or malformed records
- Decoupled messaging and orchestration for resilience under volume spikes
- Production supportability through run history, alerting, and clear reprocessing paths
Design for the failures that happen in production, partner payload changes, offline systems, and partial batches, so integrations keep working when conditions are imperfect.
04 Impact
- Automated product, employee, order, and shipment flows across critical enterprise systems
- Reduced manual export/import and duplicate data entry
- Improved auditability with structured logging and exception isolation
- Created reusable Azure integration patterns for future systems and partners
